My Latest Skin Care Regimen

I'm all about good skin care and since I love wearing makeup so much and like going out with a makeup-free face from time to time, babying my skin is an essential part of my everyday routine. I'm excited to share my new combination of skin care products that compliment and work for me! Disclaimer: It may seem like a load of products but I do however interchange between them based on whether I wear makeup or not that day.

Of course good old H2O and a proper diet is beneficial to any skin care routine. Stress management is another attribute to maintaining healthy skin. Praying and spending time with God, journaling and dancing help me to manage my stress. 

With that being said, I am a product junkie! I have sensitive skin so I tend to gravitate towards gentle natural products and my skin adores it!  In the morning I usually cleanse and moisturize, however at night is when I use the most products.

I take Nature Bounty's Hair, Skin& Nails vitamins everyday. I've been taking them for quite a few years now and it helps my skin to stay clear and prevents those uninvited breakouts.

On the days I wear makeup, I start off by using Clinique's Take the day Away Cleansing Balm. (I just recently discovered this and I absolutely love this stuff!) The texture is very silky, moisturizing and it removes a ton of my makeup. I would high recommend! 

In conjunction with the cleansing balm, I follow that by using the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to wipe off any remaining makeup. I then cleanse my face with Burt's Bees Cleansing Oil for Dry Skin. It's milky/oil like consistency is extremely gentle on my skin.

When I am not using the Burt's Bees Cleansing Oil, I exfoliate about 3 times a week with Alba Botanica Hawaiian Pineapple Enzyme Facial Scrub.This facial scrub beads are gentle and keep my face feeling smooth and clean.

Next, I tone my face with Alba's Botanica Natural Acne Dote Deep Clean Astringent, which gives my face a refreshing feeling and removes any residue or dirt that may still exist. On my makeup free days, I use Simple's Cleansing Micellar Water instead. I use both of these products with cotton rounds.

Lastly, I finish off by moisturizing with Alba Botanica Hawaiian Moisture Cream, Jasmine & Vitamin E. As you can tell, Alba Botanica is a favorite brand of mine.

Two honorable mentions: 
I use Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream on those days I'm extra tired!

When I'm feeling fancy, combined with my cleansing oil, the Mia Clarisonic (an oldie but a goodie) gets the extra makeup and dirt off that I may have missed.

Word to the Wise:

Your skin care regimen is personal and unique. What works great for me may not work for you and vise versa. Just like hair products, consider trying out various products to observe which ones cooperate with your skin. Doing research and visiting a dermatologist can be a great help as well.
